Aldermans retains triple certification
Aldermans is proud to have retained its triple certification to international quality, environmental and health & safety standards, following a recent Surveillance Audit.
In March 2017 we first achieved certification to the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management standard, along with OHSAS 18001:2007 health & safety management. Our existing ISO 9001 certification, held since 2002, was simultaneously upgraded to the latest 2015 version.
Although certifications are awarded for a three-year period (ours is valid to March 2020) organisations are still required to undergo an annual Surveillance Audit by an external auditor to ensure they continue to operate at the required level.
Our audit took place over three days, 30th April to 2nd May, when we were visited by Gerry Staunton, Lead Auditor for Alcumus Group, which provides our certification services. We received no non-conformities, and no improvement suggestions!
“This was an excellent surveillance audit against all three standards,” he commented. “As a company Alderman Tooling Limited have embraced the system and it is very well managed. During the audit it was evident from staff interviews that they are all committed to the company policies, procedures and processes. The audit has demonstrated good levels of control.”
Tony McEwen, our Quality Supervisor and part of our Senior Management Team, added: “Operating to these three standards gives our customers the assurance of our quality and efficiency. It’s a great team effort, and shows that the culture that we have at Aldermans has helped us achieve the highest levels of manufacturing excellence.”
