Steel laser cutting service
With precision results, experienced operators and in-house designers at our Plymouth factory, our metal laser cutting service is truly ‘a cut above’.
At Aldermans we have many years’ experience in the supply of sub-contract laser cutting, and we have been using it for our own in-house products for even longer.
We have two metal laser cutting machines:
An Amada C1 punch-laser combination, which offers fast turnaround and the added cost saving of punching holes at the same time. Because we can also operate the C1 in ‘lights-out’ unmanned mode, we can offer an efficient, speedy and cost-effective laser cutting service.
An Amada LCG (4kW) Fibre Laser Cutting Machine, with ASLUL tower, which enables us to laser cut mild steel sheet up to 20mm thick. With automatic loading and unloading of materials and lights-out capability, it also boasts the most rapid feed rate in its class, at 170 metres a minute. This means we can offer greater flexibility, reduced lead-times, and cost-effective manufacturing for lasered parts.
Our laser cutting capabilities
- We can cut a wide range of materials, including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass and bronze, and galvanised/Zintec.
- We can offer punched holes for greater accuracy and speed, with hundreds of punching patterns and shapes
- We can offer a range of further processes, including folding, welding and finishing, making us a ‘one stop’ option for your metal cutting and fabrication requirements.
- We can process your parts from a varitety of media, including 3D models with our unique sophisticated software
Punched metal parts
With our Amada EMZ turret punch automatic storage/loading/unloading tower, we can process punched parts from sheet metal up to 6mm thick, quickly and efficiently. We have a vast range of punch tools available in all common sizes.
